Harini

Harini is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras)

She obtained her Bachelors in Aeronautical Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University in 2017. She subsequently joined the direct Ph.D. program at IIT Madras in 2017. She is currently working under Dr Shantanu S. Mulay, on modeling the behavior of self-healing materials using continuum damage mechanics. She obtained the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship in December 2019.

Her areas of interest include the mechanics of composite structures, continuum damage mechanics, and mechanics of self-healing materials. Read more about her work here.
